Licensed Dog Boarding in Ashford

A home-from-home for your dog while you’re away

When you need to be away, it’s important to know your dog is being cared for with genuine kindness and attention. At Ashford Pet Care, I offer licensed dog boarding in a calm, home-from-home environment where your dog is treated as part of the family. I’m Suzie, an experienced and passionate animal lover, and I provide reliable, one-to-one care so you can enjoy complete peace of mind while your dog is with me.

Your dog will enjoy constant companionship, plenty of affection, and two full-length outings each day, exploring the beautiful Kent countryside or coastline. Dogs are never left alone while in my care, ensuring they feel settled, secure, and happy throughout their stay. I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Canine Care, Behaviour & Welfare (RQF), giving you added confidence that your dog’s wellbeing, behaviour, and individual needs are always fully understood and prioritised.

Ashford Pet Care is fully licensed by Ashford Borough Council.

FAQ's

Where will my dog sleep?

At Ashford Petcare, it’s all about making sure your furry friend feels just as comfortable and loved away from home as they do at home. So whatever their sleeping arrangements are while they’re with you, whether that’s snuggling in the bed or settling down on a dog bed, we’ll make sure to replicate that here!

Do I need to bring a Dog Bed?

I strive to make your dogs stay as comfortable and homely as possible, so if they usually sleep on a bed at night, feel free to bring it along. Otherwise, no need to worry about packing it!

What do we need to bring?
  • Dog Food
  • If your dog gets anxious then I recommend a blanket with your scent on it
  • If your dog is on medication then you will need to bring that with them also – please note I do need the original box that it came in and I do need the full Vets instructions
How many dogs do you care for at one time?

To ensure every dog receives calm, individual attention, I only care for a small number of dogs at any one time. This helps maintain a relaxed home environment and allows me to focus fully on each dog’s wellbeing.

Will my dog be left alone?

No. Dogs are never left alone while in my care

Are all dogs suitable for home boarding?

Home boarding is best suited to friendly, well-socialised dogs who are comfortable in a home environment. If you’re unsure whether your dog is suitable, I’m always happy to chat and arrange a meet and greet to make sure it’s the right fit for everyone.

Can you cater for dogs with special needs or medication?

Yes. I’m happy to care for dogs with special dietary requirements, medications, or specific routines. Please let me know all details in advance so I can ensure your dog’s needs are fully met. All medication must be provided in its original packaging with clear veterinary instructions.

Do you offer meet and greets?

How will I know how my dog is doing?

I provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, settled, and enjoying their stay.

Can my dog socialise with other dogs?

We have been using Ashford Pet care and Suzi since 2022 and would not trust anyone else with Mabel.

Suzi is so flexible fitting around our and our dogs needs. Suzi treats the dogs she has with such care and genuine love and affection. Mabel is so happy there, going off wagging her tail.

We not only use Suzi for day care but also for holidays. We totally trust that Mabel is being well cared for with all home comforts whilst we are away on holiday or visiting family.

Suzi takes all the dogs on varied, lovely long walks and is always trying new places so the dogs get new experiences. We are always getting photos showing us how much fun Mabel is having.
